Valley of Flowers National Park is an Indian national park, located in West Himalaya, in the state of Uttarakhand and is known for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and the variety of flora. This richly diverse area is also home to rare and endangered animals, including the Asiatic black bear, snow leopard, musk deer,brown bear, red fox,and blue sheep. Birds found in the park include Himalayan monal pheasant and other high altitude birds.At 3352 to 3658 meters above sea level, the gentle landscape of the Valley of Flowers National Park complements the rugged mountain wilderness of Nanda Devi National Park to the east.Together, they encompass a unique transition zone between the mountain ranges of the Zanskar and Great Himalaya. The park stretches over an expanse of 87.50 km2 and it is about 8 km long and 2 km wide.Both parks are encompassed in the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve (223,674 ha) which is further surrounded by a buffer zone (5,148.57 km2).This Reserve is in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves since 2004.

Day 01 : NEW DELHI – HARIDWAR (230 KMS/06 HRS)

Pickup from your destination in Delhi and depart to Hardwar.On arrival in Hardwar check into your pre-booked hotel. Rest of the Day free for leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel

Day 02 : HARIDWAR – JOSHIMATH (264 KMS/8-9 HRS)
The journey to Joshimath is a fascinating one, travelling mainly up the Alaknanda valley alongside the river. From Devprayag onwards a mixture of beautiful countryside and fascinating bustling small towns can be witnessed. As you move higher up, the scenery subtly changes from very lush hillsides, with rice terraces, to slightly more barren mountainous countryside beyond Srinagar. On the way we pass through Rudra prayag where the confluence (Sangam) of Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers takes place.
The final few kilometers of the journey encompasses incredible hairpin turns in the mountain road from Pipalkoti onwards. When Badrinath temple is closed in winter due to high snowfall the Puja is performed at Joshimath On arrival to Joshimath check in to your pre-booked Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03 : JOSHIMATH – GOVINDGHAT (22 KMS/1 HRS) – GHANGHARIA (14 KMS TREK/5-6 HRS)
Early morning we leave from Joshimath for Govindghat, which is the starting point for the trek. From Govindghat there is a gradual ascent along a well – maintained pilgrim trail to the camp at Ghangaria – the base from where day walks can be made into the valley of flowers. Arrange porters if needed and prepare for the trek. After a light breakfast, 14 km trek up to Ghangaria. Night halt at hotel.

Day 04 : GHANGARIA – VALLEY OF FLOWERS – GHANGARIA (5 KMS TREK ONE SIDE/4-5 HRS)
After breakfast 5km trek to Valley Of Flowers (3858 m ) from Ghangaria. The valley is an enchanting sight with an impressive array of rare wildflowers like Geranium, Marsh marigold, Prinula, Potentilla, Geum, Asters, Lilium, Ranunculus, Corydalis, Inula, Campanula, Pedicularis, Arisaema, Morina, Impatiens, Bistorta, Ligularia, Anaphalis, Saxifrages, Sibbaldia, Thermo- psis, Trollius, Codonopsis, Dactylorhiza, Cypripedium, Str-awberry, Epilobium, Rhododendrons ,brahma kamal, fane Kamal and numerous others. Most of the flowers have medicinal values. The snow-clad peaks including Nilgiri Parbat (6474 m) stand in bold relief against the skyline. The valley is 10 kms long, 2 kms wide, and is divided by the Pushpawati stream, into which several tiny streams and waterfalls merge. After enjoying the beauty of valley we come back to Ghangaria. Dinner and Night stay.

Day 05 : GHANGARIA-HEMKUND-GHANGARIA (06 KMS TREK ONE SIDE)
After an early breakfast, Trek to Hemkund Sahib(4329 meter) above sea level. It is a holy place for the Sikh community.They assemble and start their long and arduous pilgrimage to the 4329 meter-high Gurudwara Hemkund Sahib, on the far side of the great glacial lake of Lokpal.A number of snow covered peaks rise around this austerely beautiful lake.This is quite a steep climb. In the Sikh holy book, The Granth Sahib, the Sikh Guru Gobind Singh recounts that in a previous life, he meditated on the shores of a lake surrounded by seven snowcapped mountains now recognized by Hemkund. Late afternoon trek back to GHANGHARIA. Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 06 : GHANGARIA – GOVIND GHAT (14 KMS TREK /5-6 HRS) – BADRINATH (30 KMS/2 HRS)
After an early breakfast we trek down to Govind Ghat and proceed to badrinath by road. The drive from Govindghat to Badrinath is another stunning drive over winding mountain roads with superb views it all adds to the sense of adventure.Upon arrival in Badrinath check into your pre-booked hotel. Afternoon Visit Mana Village and Badrinath Temple. Overnight at Hotel

Day 07 : BADRINATH – RISHIKESH (300 Kms/ 11 Hrs)
After an early breakfast drive back to Rishikesh .driving down from Badrinath and then up into Joshimath gives a much better idea of the layout of the whole area and also a chance to take one last look at the mountains. During the journey you get to see different things and get a better feel for it. On way back to Rishikesh you can see the Place called Rudraprayag where the confluence of river Mandakini and river Alaknanda take place. Upon arrival in Rishikesh check into the Hotel. Evening can be spent with a walk down along the road where all the Ashrams are situated to see the Temples. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 08 : RISHIKESH – DELHI (230 kms/07 hrs)
After an early breakfast drive back to Delhi. Transfer to Airport/Railway Station/Hotel to board flight for onwards journey.
